After Effects with Uri Kranot

We also had to learn After Effect to be able to make a successful layout assignment and for future use in our animation. I had some experience from the danish Medie Skole so I found it easy and had a great time making some silly stuff. In the first assignment we used our bird cycle and put it in a fitting environment (In this case; Game of Thrones)

Last assignment: Ufo's invading Viborg!!

Layout with Uri Kranot

Just before and after spring we had layout classes with Uri Kranot. Its an important aspect when making a animation feature such as my favorite 90'es show Batman the animated series. We got an official storyboard from the series and made a layout based on those with camera information.

The next assignment was to retell the story of Bonnie and Clyde just after the shooting. We had a lot of freedom in this one and this time we got to make our camera movement in After Effects.
Here is the layout with storytelling keys.
And the final product

Dialogue animation with Kristian Kuntz

It was great to animate after a week of coloring and we had 2 great weeks Kristian Kuntz. Just as color, animating dialogue is less important than the overall message / action, so i took the opportunity to make something a bit more crazy while still learning dialogue of course. Here is the result!:

The character is Bardini from the danish Orla Frø-Snapper and the line is by Rob Schneider from the Adam Sandler movie "The Waterboy"
I will return to this one to polish it, since its one of my better animations so far

Color with Lawrence Marvit

So our last week with Lawrence was about color which i had such a difficult time with since I'm partly colorblind.
It was really challenging and opened my eyes how to see color (when i didn't get too frustrated) and how to lit up a picture with complementary color and shadow. Painting with colors is  confusing and hard for me so I also simplified it by coloring one of my sketches to get the basic understanding.
In my final project I did a little red riding hood. It didn't turn that great both for color and composition but it gave me some insight in my strengths and weaknesses.
